The kitchen table turned into the desk. The compressors sat next to the iMac. Russell’s loaner studio speakers were in behind. The laundry was in the next room, the furnace in the room behind me. The neighbours upstairs… listening to music, banging pots and pans, talking on the phone. I had to have patience. Find my moments. Practice all the parts off mic during the noisy times.
